6 Sep 2018

The Allure of the ‘Green Beauty’ continues and this time it’s a battle of the big boys for the vacant WBC Asia heavyweight title on September 15th in Qinzhou, China.

Japanese pugilist Kotatsu Takehara (15-11-3) will square off against Chinese boxer Zhiyu Wu (8-2-1) for a shot at winning a coveted WBC Asia strap.

Takehara is on a five fight winning streak with his most recent foray into the ring ending with him stopping his opponent via a first round knockout.

Wu for his part has had mixed fortunes in his last five outings as he had two wins, two losses and a draw, his most recent encounter was a fourth round technical KO victory over Indian boxer Jasoak Singh.

On behalf of WBC Asia President Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi and the entire Asian Boxing Council team we wish both fighters the best of luck for their upcoming showdown.
