Suriyan KO follows strong aggression

21 Jul 2009

WBC Asia Flyweight champion Suriyan scored a convincing second round KO victory over Indonesia John Bima at Pratum Thani on 17 July.

The KO occurred at the 1.38 minute mark after Bima was given an eight count in first round, and was finally stopped by a sweet punch to the chin in the second round.

Suriyan demonstrated strong aggression but Bima resisted until the effective punches finally stopped the Indonesian's resistance.

On the undercard former WBC world champion Veerapol Nakornluang had an easy second round KO against Indonesian Christian Sianturi.
