Thailand's Sainamdoi Phitaklogen has won the WBC Asia featherweight female championship after a hard fought contest with Laotian challenger Sutgakorn Kwanchaisrikort.

Little separated the two fighters but Sainamdoi finished the final round the stronger and recorded a close two point victory by all three judges.

The score cards showed Sanamdoi the unanimous winner 96-94.

Sutsakorn won rounds 3, 4 and five but Sainamdoi fought back to win the next three rounds. That left the last three rounds to determine the result and Sainamdoi was able to snatch a tough victory.

While both fighters will improve their skill levels with more ring experience they both showed great courage that ugers well for their futures in boxing.

The championship contest was successfully managed by Pariyakorn Ratanasuban, promoter of Onesongchai Boxing Promotion.
