China's rising star Xianguxin defended his WBC Asia International Challenge championship against a determined Thai challenger Prab Twinsgym at Yinlee, China on 8 December.

The championship was staged to a packaged audience of 6,000 fans, sanctioned by the WBC Asian Boxing Council and presided over by Chang Jiangping, Director General of the general administration of boxing in China.

The fight went the full distance of 10 rounds with Xianguxin building up an unassailable points advantage to win the contest comfortably. Prab showed strong defense but was unable to outpoint his opponent.

All three judges scored the contest in favour of Xianguxin 99-96, 100-91 and 99-91.
