Veerapol destroys Nakayama!

Two-time world bantamweight king Veerapol Nakornluang (61-3-2, 43 KOs) impressively scored a third round KO over Kentaro Nakayama (10-2-1, 5 KOs) in a non-title bout on Friday at Tupatemi Airforce Central Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Veerapol, currently ranked #1 by WBC, excitingly exchanged punches with the Japanese fighter in a close first two rounds. But in round three, during toe-to-toe action, the experienced Thai fighter landed a "key punch" left uppercut to Nakayama's jaw which flattened the Japanese for a full ten count at 1:45.

In other action, WBC #3 superfly David Nakornluang (19-1, 9 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Makoto Tanigawa (12-4-1, 3 KOs) to capture the vacant ABCO superfly title. David mostly controlled the action and aggressively attacked the Japanese who displayed a tottally defensive style for his survival. Scored: 120-108, 120-108, 119-109.

WBC #11/ABCO 130lb titleholder Thong Por Chokchai (17-5-1, 10 KOs) easily won a six round unanimous decision over Yuji Tanaka (5-2). Japanese Akihiko Murataki stopped Sinchai Sithsaithong in the opening round. And Japanese Tamaraki Tatsuo destroyed Padechsuk Sithsaithong in the opening round. This event was promoted by Suchart Pisitwuttinan of Nakornluang Boxing Promotion.
