March 1, 2025: – The China Professional Boxing Promoters Union was officially founded today with a landmark conference attended by 19 leading boxing promoters from across the country. The union has signed a charter committing to the collective development of professional boxing, the cultivation of world-class champions, and the safeguarding of regulatory standards.
As an observer at this historic event, World Boxing Council Executive Aku Zhang had the privilege of witnessing the signing of this agreement, which also welcomed five additional promoters who were unable to attend in person but have formally joined the union.
Mr. Xiaolong Lu of Maxpower Promotion was elected as the union’s first chairman for a two-year term, with the responsibility of guiding China’s professional boxing industry toward sustainable growth and international recognition.
In collaboration with the China Professional Boxing Promoters Union, we will work to elevate the sport by organizing high-level competitions that accelerate the development of Chinese boxers and provide them with greater opportunities to shine on the global stage.
This initiative marks a significant step forward for the professional boxing landscape in China, promising a new era of unity, strength, and international success.
