November 5, 2025 — Bangkok, Thailand — The World Boxing Council (WBC) hosted a formal press conference today at its Bangkok offices to promote two major combat sports events set to take place during the upcoming 63rd WBC Annual Convention and the 1st WBC MuayThai Convention, scheduled from November 30 – December 5 at the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel. The events will feature the Amazing MuayThai Fight Night 2 and the WBC Convention Boxing Show, both positioned as flagship fight nights during the week-long international gathering.

The press conference brought together key representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Petchyindee Promotions, and the World Boxing Council. Each organization emphasized the cultural and sporting significance of staging these world-class fight events in Bangkok at a moment of unprecedented global attention.

Showcasing Thailand as a Global Combat Sports Capital

Speakers from TAT and TCEB highlighted Thailand’s role as the birthplace and home of MuayThai — and its continued recognition as a global cultural force. With international participation expanding year by year, both agencies underscored their commitment to supporting events that elevate Thailand’s reputation as a center of sports tourism, cultural heritage, and world-class athletic competition.

Petchyindee Promotions, one of Thailand’s most respected MuayThai promotional organizations, noted that the Amazing MuayThai Fight Night 2 will feature elite Thai and international athletes competing under full WBC MuayThai rules, reinforcing Thailand’s leadership in developing and exporting the sport worldwide.

Mauricio Sulaimán, President of the World Boxing Council, has previously noted that MuayThai is one of the strongest and fastest-growing combat sports within the WBC family, and that Thailand will continue to serve as the spiritual home of the sport’s global development.
