Moroccan boxer Tarik Haddir delivered an impressive performance on March 12 in Bangkok, stopping Thailand’s Anurak Thisa in the seventh round to capture the WBC Asia Middleweight Championship.

The bout served as the main event of the Tunal Academy Boxing promotion, attracting strong local interest as the visiting Moroccan faced a determined Thai opponent on home soil. From the opening rounds, Haddir established control with sharp combinations and consistent pressure, gradually wearing down Thisa as the fight progressed.

Despite the support of the Bangkok crowd, Thisa struggled to contain Haddir’s rhythm and accuracy. By the seventh round, the Moroccan’s sustained offense proved decisive, forcing the stoppage and sealing a technical knockout victory.

With the win, Haddir claims the prestigious WBC Asia Middleweight title, marking a significant achievement in his professional career and further highlighting the growing international reach of WBC Asia championship competition.

The victory capped a strong night of boxing at the Tunal Academy event, with Haddir leaving Bangkok as the new regional champion after a commanding display in the ring.
