Friday, October 15, 2021: World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaimán announced at the “Coffee Tuesday” weekly press conference, that the celebration of the annual Convention in its 59th edition, will be in Mexico City, after careful consideration from a panel of advisors.
He announced that large participation is expected, and all precautionary and security protocols will be carefully followed, safeguard the health of everyone.
The Convention, which will take place from November 14 to 19, aims to be an unforgettable event. It will be a celebration of life surrounded by the hospitality and the welcome which makes Mexico so famous.
He added that full vaccination will be mandatory to attend and participate, as well as a negative PCR test before and after the trip. In addition to that all events and places will include health and hygiene protocols.
Mauricio recalled the seven World Boxing Council Conventions that have been held in Mexico City, in 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1980, 1988, and 2000, all of them unique and very special, and he promised that this meeting will also be magnificent.
